Hero Welcome

Flagship Schools

Our Flagship Schools have been chosen for their innovative use of our book-based approach across the curriculum. They have adopted and adapted our planning sequences to complement their own topics or use our themes. Our flagship schools enjoy sharing how they have used the sequences to support engagement and raise attainment in English with new schools looking to change their pedagogy and curriculum. If you wish to visit any of these schools, just send them an email or contact us at info@literacytree.com.

Literary Libraries

Literary Libraries are a free lending service to Literacy Tree member schools so they can borrow sets of Reading Leaf books. We are focussed on building collections of the novels for our Reading Leaves, making these more accessible to schools across the UK. Each host school has a set of 15 of each titles. (Note, Bilton Infants only stock books listed within Y2).

Please get in touch with the Lending Library School directly below if you have a request.
If you'd like to enquire about becoming a lending library, please reach out to libraries@literacytree.com.

Schools will need to make their own arrangements to pick up books (in person please, not by courier) and return them on designated days at the end of a half-term.
We currently have them in the following locations:

Coming soon for 2025/26, Devon and Derbyshire Lending Libraries.

In the future we would love to have some more varied locations so please get in touch if you have been a member school for more than 2 years and would like to host one in your school. This is only for our member schools to use and we fund this entirely and build collections up throughout an academic year. We currently have a waiting list for these but will always prioritise places where there is an area of need. You would need to have a designated member of staff and a space for the books so they are kept for anyone to borrow. Schools that are hosting will have a contract of care for the books whilst they are in their safekeeping.

Advisory Panels

Our three panels are made up of teachers with the experience to guide and inform us to help us to ensure our chosen texts meet standards of inclusivity and authenticity in terms of representation of cultures and communities. Our advisory panels are used to provide advice and guidance in a non-executive function and are a non-decision making forum. The three panels are as follows:
