For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoter" refers to Literacy Tree whose Blue Sky handle is @literacytree and whose Instagram handle is @theliteracytree. The "Prize" refers to our weekly Sunday Sweetener Book giveaway (1x book or occasional bundles of multiple books).
By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 9am on the Monday following the Sunday giveaway. One (1) winner per giveaway in Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland) will be selected at random by The Promoter on dates listed above and the winner will be notified on or after this date via Direct Message.
The Promotors competitions with entry via Blue Sky or Instagram are open only to residents of Great Britain (excluding Northern Ireland). One (1) winner will be chosen at random from all entrants.
No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.
Entrants must be over 18 years old on the date of their entry.
Employees of The Promoter are not eligible to enter.
Blue Sky and Instagram are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.
Only one entry per person per competition will be accepted.
Each entrant shall enter the competition via BlueSky or Instagram by liking the post, tagging another Blue Sky or Instagram user in the comments of the specified post by @literacytree / @theliteracytree and following the profile. Entrants can receive an additional entry by sharing the giveaway post to their own profile.
The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has entered on Blue Sky or Instagram, using a random number generator. The Promoter will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
The Promoter will not be help liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
The name, address, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Promoter if requested and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The winner’s name and social media username may be posted on the social media profiles of The Promotor after the winner has been selected.
1.1 "Starter Pack" refers to a collection of up to 14 new books* curated and sent to schools.
1.2 "February Promotion" refers to the offer of a Starter Pack for new schools signing up for a whole school membership between 1st February 2026 and 28th February 2026.
1.3 "The Website" refers to the Literacy Tree website at www.literacytree.com.
1.4 "Members" refers to the administrator or the named staff member on the account.
1.5 "Member Schools" refers to schools or institutions with current or past school memberships with Literacy Tree.
1.6 "Participants" refers to members who sign up between 1st February 2026 and 28th February 2026.
2.1 The Starter Pack promotion is available solely between 1st February 2026 and 28th February 2026.
2.2 The promotion is open to new School Members based in the United Kingdom with a UK billing address who sign up and pay for a whole school membership during the promotional period. By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2.3 Employees of Literacy Tree and their immediate family members are ineligible for this promotion. Existing member schools renewing their membership do not qualify for this promotion.
2.4 Membership will take effect immediately upon sign-up. Starter Packs will be dispatched via third-party courier upon receipt of payment.
2.5 Participants must provide accurate details (name, phone number, postal address, and email) for membership setup and Starter Pack delivery. Starter Packs will be dispatched to the postal address submitted during sign-up.
2.6 Starter Packs are non-transferable and non-refundable. Literacy Tree reserves the right to amend the books included without notice.
2.7 By participating, schools consent to their names potentially being featured on the Literacy Tree website and social media.
2.8 Participants confirm their acceptance of these terms by signing up for the promotion.
2.9 Literacy Tree reserves the right to cancel the Starter Pack if it cannot be delivered to the provided address and is returned to us.
2.10 Literacy Tree is not liable for any loss or damage to the Starter Pack during transit.
2.11 *For Junior, Infant, First, and Middle Schools, the number of books will be proportional to the year groups. For instance, an Infant School will receive books for R, Y1, and Y2 only.
2.12 This offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discount codes.
