Synopsis of Text:

We chose this book for a Literary Leaf as it a wonderful narrative non-fiction book with great illustrations and diagrams.

Have you ever wondered how a lighthouse works, what’s really inside them or why they’re painted in unusual patterns?  This beautifully illustrated book allows us to depart on an enchanting voyage with a group of school children to discover the answers to these questions along with other fascinating facts about lighthouses and how they work.
