Discuss how starting with a story leads to opportunities for talk, exploration, song and play. All bound up in an approach with diverse and inclusive texts at the forefront.
This course will –
Identify how the Literacy Tree pedagogy engages children as creators and communicators with a reason to write and immerses them in a literary world
Share examples of quality texts and well-planned sequences
Explore skills as outlined in the Early years foundation stage statutory framework
Model how language, talk and immersion in high quality literature leads to further opportunities for physical development and personal, social and emotional development
Provide a brief introduction to our brand-new resource specifically for Early Years – Story Saplings based on Super Milly and the Super School Day by Stephanie Clarkson
