This session will explore the importance of music - specifically singing - in language learning and acquisition. In this session, we will examine some research into the connection between music and linguistic development. This will include how having early exposure to rhythm and rhyme supports phonemic awareness and oracy. Participants will develop strategies to embed singing and rhythmic awareness activities into regular practice.
