This refresher webinar will focus on –

• Revisiting how Literacy Tree continues to secure full coverage of the English programme of study, with particular emphasis on progression in composition, spelling and reading comprehension
• Reflecting on the role of high-quality texts within Literacy Tree and the sustained impact of a book-led curriculum on outcomes over time
• Deepening understanding of the Teach Through a Text approach, with a focus on strengthening meaningful contexts for writing and raising expectations
• Exploring how Literacy Tree supports cohesive, consistent English provision across the whole school, even as cohorts, staff and priorities change

We will do this by –

• Looking at examples of schools with proven impact to identify what strong implementation looks like and how outcomes can be further improved
• Re-examining the Teach Through a Text approach, with practical discussion around effective sequencing, modelling and adaptation
• Revisiting the full range of Literacy Tree resources including the app, the Writing Roots, Vocabulary Vines, Reading Leaves, Spelling Seeds and Coverage and Progression Documents to support consistency and impact
