This induction webinar is designed to help new member schools get started confidently with Literacy Tree, providing a clear understanding of the approach and how it supports high-quality, coherent English teaching from day one.

This webinar will explore –

• How Literacy Tree provides complete coverage of the English programme of study, ensuring progression in composition, spelling and reading comprehension
• The power of high-quality texts at the heart of Literacy Tree and how a book-based curriculum drives engagement, enjoyment and strong outcomes
• The Teach Through a Text approach and how it creates meaningful, purposeful contexts for reading, writing and vocabulary development
• How Literacy Tree supports a cohesive, consistent whole-school approach to English, supporting teachers while raising expectations for pupils

During the session, we will –

• Share examples from schools successfully using Literacy Tree to bring the approach to life and highlight its impact in the classroom
• Unpick the Teach Through a Text approach, including sequencing, modelling and practical classroom application
• Introduce the full suite of Literacy Tree resources, including the app, Writing Roots, Vocabulary Vines, Reading Leaves, Spelling Seeds and Coverage and Progression Documents, showing how they work together to support confident planning and progression
