We are a British School based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Working with an almost exclusively EAL population, we are always seeking ways to increase the students' exposure to high-quality language and to prompt deeper thinking about the wider world.
Since starting to work with Literacy Tree, we have seen a huge improvement in the children's creativity in their writing and we are now moving forward with implementing the Literacy Leaves into our guided reading learning.
We have certainly enjoyed the INSET sessions that Lynn, Pippa and Anthony have provided us since beginning our partnership in 2021 and it has renewed our passion for teaching English. It is wonderful to have excellent, well-structured ideas at our fingertips and ambitious, inspiring texts to work with and we look forward to reaping more rewards as we move forward to embed the approach more fully.
