"Children at Dulwich Wood have developed a real love of reading and awareness of authors since we started using Literacy Tree resources. Because each sequence begins with a hook that enthuses and engages the children, it offers creative and real life opportunities linking to our whole school Learning Journeys. Teachers find the resources really accessible and can easily adapt them to other books and areas of the curriculum.
'Literacy Tree has offered me the tools to bring out the best writing from pupils.' (Year 5 Teacher)
'It has supported us in bringing a range of texts to life and the children have really shown a truly positive attitude to all areas of learning as a result.' (Reception Teacher)
'The children absolutely love studying the range of Literacy Tree books and show great engagement - especially children who might not be exposed to such high quality literature outside of Dulwich Wood.' (Year 4 Teacher)
It has provided me with access to exciting books that the children love which have great hooks to get them engaged. It has allowed me explore books in a way I wouldn't necessarily have chosen myself, as well as giving me tasks and activities that I can apply to other texts (Year 6 Teacher)'
The strong emphasis on grammar and vocabulary has enabled children with EAL or SEN difficulties to make better than expected progress and our. teachers have commented on how they feel more confident in their subject knowledge since using Literacy Tree."
