"I enjoy watching Hannah model lessons and shared writes, as I could then see exactly how it meant to be done. "
Emily, An Daras Trust, Autumn 2024
A half-day year-specific course, led by Hannah, covering practical strategies for using high-quality children's literature as the primary approach to the teaching of English. This course is ideal for people who are new to Literacy Tree or changing to another year group.
The course covers the pedagogy and the approach but one section of the day exemplifies this using a focus text and goes through each aspect. The book we will be exemplifying with is Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña. We will be looking at this online but if you prefer to have a physical copy, please purchase in advance.
"Discussing misconceptions we have experienced/pre-empted in breakout groups - it was great to converse and share with other teachers. "
Jess, Noremarsh Junior School, Autumn 2024
"The whole session was very well planned out. Understanding the process of planning, how the resources can be used and the shared writing ideas were all extremely helpful."
