'We used learning logs as part of our online education offer. We were really impressed with the high quality planning sequences all planned and ready to use. Each video included a practical grammar session as well as opportunities for the children to write in some really creative ways. As always, the texts used were fun and engaging and allowed for great cross curricular activities. Feedback from parents and children was really positive.'
Emily Phipps, St John's RC, Southwark
Learning logs are sets of daily videos for Years 1 through to 6 to support home learning. Each video is a session from our favourite Literary Curriculum planning sequences.
Led by our consultants, these videos are great to share with your children day-to-day (or as often as you wish). Expect loads of engaging activities as well as opportunities to embed grammar and see writing being modelled! We'll tell you when and where to pause the video so that you can go off and take part in some purposeful writing with your child.
School subscribers can access all of them straight away - all you need to do is add the sequence into your account when logged in and you will be able to see the video underneath. Individual subscribers can choose to spend a token on one of the planning sequence which will automatically give you access to all the video 'logs' for that text and individual purchasers can access them in this way too by purchasing the sequence for £5.
School members can share the logs using the My Log Codes link, which will display as a 'share; button under each Learning Log video. Make sure you have the Learning Log in your accout and that you are logged in as a school member. Now, click on the 'Add Code' button and select the Learning Log you would like to share. This will then generate a code to share with families for Home Learning. Ask them to visit the Home Access page and enter the code to stream any of the Home Learning Logs.
Alternatively, all the Learning Logs can all be downloaded from the planning sequences page (underneath the video). Just select the size and quality of the video you want to download and then save it to your computer as an MP4 file. You can then upload it to your learning platform or share with parents via email.
Don't forget to share any outcomes with us on social media @theliteracytree #learninglogs
As an individual user, just log in and you will be able to stream or download the Learning Logs from the Planning Sequence page.
